成都到荷兰阿姆斯特丹航线作为中国西部直飞欧洲的首座空中客运桥梁，从2006年开通至今已有7年；今年年初，成都到澳大利亚墨尔本直航正式开通；5月19日，成都至法兰克福顺利通航；在未来的半年内，成都至伦敦、巴黎的航线将开通；明年，成都到北美也有望通航。

不久前，成都刚荣获了2012年第六届TTG中国最佳旅游城市殊荣。
同时，成都还是联合国世界旅游组织和国家旅游局联合命名的中国最佳旅游城市、联合国教科文组织授予的“美食之都”称号、亚洲首个“世界优秀旅游目的地网络成员”、中国最佳休闲城市，并获批国家首批旅游综合改革试点城市…… 或许，我们不应急于赋予成都一个具体的旅游定位，但当你身处这片土地，你就会发现，成都是一个与众不同的世界级旅游之都。
