JoeimmediatelybegananHACCPauditofthechickensalad.Hecalledotherflightoperationsthathadalsobeensentchickensalad,andchickenfromthatday’sbatch,butnonereportedanyproblems.Inresearchingallrecords,hediscoveredatnotimewasthechickenoutoftemperatureorexposedtocontamination.ThequickauditsuggestedthechickenwasOK.Itwasn’tuntilthenextdaythattherealculpritemerged.ItseemsthattheCEOwasbeingbadgeredintodietingbyhiswife,andhadhislimodriveroffandpickuptwohotdogsforhimfromaNewYorkstreetvendorbeforeheadingouttotheairport.Itwasthehotdogs,notthechicken,thathadbeencontaminatedandgavetheexecutivefoodpoisoning.
